slack is your friend
Slack is your friend.
I don’t mean Slack the app (don't get me started about how I hate Slack).
I mean the space, ease, room to breathe. That kind of slack is your friend.
Not everything in life needs to be filled to the brim — not every moment optimized, not every hour booked on the calendar.
This is a reminder to myself more than anything:
You want slack in the rope of your life. Keep it tense too long, and the rope frays. When there’s some slack, you can pull taut when you need to — without exhausting yourself by holding tight all the time.
